If you are looking to get wet while wandering around the city, then you might like to check out this amazing fountain build in the middle of Chicago, Illinois. The Millennium Park fountain was designed by the Spanish Artist Jaume Plensa, is incredibly a unique tribute to Chicago’s people. It has been inspired by historic fountains with gargoyles and water spouting out their open mouths.
Artist’s version was made up of two 50 foot glass block towers that display rotating video images of 1,000 residents. The giant faces smile for a few minutes, then pucker their lips and a pipe embedded in the screen sends out a large stream of water, giving the illusion that the water is spouting out of their mouth. As a transition between faces, the tower goes black and a cascading waterfall comes raining down the sides.
Now you know were to go with your kids if you wanna hang out and get wildly wet in the middle of the city. You may want to check The Famous Route 66 as well on your next destination.
